The company Knobel was founded 1977 and produced in the beginning machines for the pharmaceutical industry. 1982 the first Chocolate depositor was presented to the public. 1989 the first 3D-capable CAD-Depositor was delivered to customers. 1990 the first section of the new production site in Felben was ready and has been extended in several steps to the size of 3'500 m2 1999 the innovative cooling concept with the Spiral got the patent-coverage. 2004 the successful production period of the CCM ended and the new generation of depositors of todays KCM machines with electro-servo-technology is being presented to the public at Interpack 2005. 2007 Knobel goes Hi-Flex - with this new generation of gearless linear-servos, we have developed a brand new robotic system for all kinds of pick'n'place operations, such as demoulding, scraping, etc. 2008 the KCM/N depositor for whole nuts and big inclusions is delivered and allows the production of bars with a ratio of up to 30 % nuts. 2013 the KCM CAD model for 3D decoration is now available in a Hi-Speed version to increase production capacity for decorated figures. 2015 the new developed ColdPress Mono-Block system creates precise shells for hollow figures and improves the connection between the two half shells for surprise eggs. 2018 extension of the factory in Felben with a new building of 2500m2 for assembly and storage. Until today more than 2000 machines have left the factory and are worldwide in daily production.
